온두라스 이야기-17.(*마르깔라-Marcala)

   * <온두라스 이야기: 일반견문록-4> 와 <草堂이야기-6>에서 잠시 언급된 온두라스 커피 제일産地 - " 마르

깔라(*Marcala)> 입니다.  La Paz 道 - La Marcala 市 로 구획 됩니다.

 

커피농장 <Villa Arco Iris - JinZBurgo> 으로 부터는 에스뻬란사(*Esperanza) 를 경유하는 방법과 수도 -

떼구시갈빠(*Tegucigalpa)쪽으로 내려가면서 오른쪽으로 꺽어 들어가는 2가지 방법이 일반적인데, 두가지

모두 지도에서 보시다시피 (노란색) 굵은도로 타다가, 비포장 산악도로를 타고 꾸불거리며 들어가야 합니다.

그나마 수도쪽 길로 가는게 조금 나은축에 속합니다.  농장에서 넉넉잡고 2시간반 정도 탑니다.

Being this a region with lenca indigenous background, made the arrival of German immigrants during

this last century an introduction to a very peculiar joining of cultures, which put together with the amazing

agro-ecological qualities of the region resulted in particular characteristics and the immeasurable quality

of our coffee, known to be one of the best in Honduras. According to historical documents which belong

to German historian, Herman Bauch, coffee crops in Marcala started in 1866.

There are several versions of how coffee growing came to this region; however, studies show that it

started during the Liberal Reform (1876-1880). It was in this time that the promotion and development of

coffee crops was in its height.

Even though there are some formal registries of coffee producing farms from 1937-1938, its

modernization and intensification is not done until early 70's which coincides with the arrival of German

families to Marcala and its surroundings, thus impelling the grain's industrialization.

아래 있었던 까닭에 온두라스의 다른 커피재배 지역에 비해 <質>과 <(*생산지) 이름>면에서 일찌기 <커피

세계>에 알려지게 된 셈입니다. 그래서 <온두라스 커피>하면 먼저 <마르깔라 : Marcala>를 떠 올리게

되지요

독일인이 하고 있습니다. ))
